The ground rules

Terms of Use

These terms describe the agreement between you and Clxrity when you use the iPhone app, web app, website, and related services.

Effective and last updated August 23, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

By accessing or using Clxrity, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Clxrity. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has permitted your use of the Service and reviewed these terms with you.

2. The Service

Clxrity is a personal organization and planning tool for students. Features may include class and schedule planning, assignment tracking, GPA calculations, college and scholarship organization, activity and goal tracking, focus tools, and resume creation.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features as the Service evolves. Some features may differ between iPhone and the web. The Service is not provided by, endorsed by, or connected to your school, a college, a testing organization, or a financial-aid authority unless we expressly say otherwise.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for giving accurate account information, maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@clxrity.app if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You may use the iPhone app locally without an account. An account is required for the web app and for cross-device sync. You may delete your account from Me → Settings → Account → Delete account. Account deletion is permanent.

We may restrict or terminate an account if we reasonably believe it is being used unlawfully, fraudulently, abusively, or in a way that threatens users, the Service, or another person's rights.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the information and materials you add to Clxrity (“Your Content”). You give us only the limited permission needed to host, process, transmit, display back to you, and otherwise operate the features you request. That permission ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, subject to ordinary backup cycles and legal requirements.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to add it. Do not upload confidential school records, recommendation letters, or another person's personal information unless you are authorized to do so. Export a backup of anything you cannot afford to lose.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in violation of law or another person's rights;
  • access or attempt to access another user's account or data;
  • upload malware or content designed to disrupt, damage, or overload the Service;
  • probe or bypass security, rate limits, authentication, or access controls;
  • reverse engineer or extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • use automated means to scrape the Service or create unreasonable traffic; or
  • misrepresent an affiliation with Clxrity or use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm someone.

6. Academic, admissions, and financial guidance

Clxrity's GPA calculations, clarity score, college fit categories, admissions estimates, scholarship tracking, net-cost calculations, timelines, and similar outputs are planning aids only. They are not official records or academic, admissions, legal, tax, or financial advice.

Schools and institutions use different rules and may change their information. Confirm grades, deadlines, requirements, costs, aid, and other important decisions with your school, counselor, college, financial-aid office, or another authoritative source.

AI-assisted schedule import

The optional photo/PDF importer uses automated extraction and may misunderstand a course, day, time, teacher, or room. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting the results before saving or relying on them.

7. Clxrity materials

The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, and other materials that are not Your Content, belongs to Clxrity or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose while these terms apply.

If you submit feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, but you do not have to submit feedback.

8. Third-party services

Clxrity relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication, cloud storage, hosting, and optional AI-assisted schedule extraction. Your use of Google or Apple sign-in and any third-party link may also be governed by that provider's terms. Clxrity is not responsible for third-party websites or services it does not control.

If you download Clxrity through Apple's App Store, your download and use may also be subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms.

9. Availability and data

We work to keep Clxrity available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, provider outages, internet conditions, product changes, or events outside our control may interrupt the Service.

Keep independent copies of important records. Clxrity is not a substitute for your school's official systems, and you should not rely on it as the only copy of a deadline, grade, document, or application requirement.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clxrity and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, opportunities, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those places, these provisions apply only to the extent the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person's rights. This section does not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Clxrity changes. We will revise the date at the top and provide additional notice when appropriate. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.

If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our permission; we may transfer these terms as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Service.

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@clxrity.app.
